If you do, then it is possible to learn French anywhere. However, there are a bunch of websites available which has the seal of “trustworthiness” written all over a website. One look and you’ll know that it’s worth the effort in finding and researching for it.

A good way to find these types of websites is to use keywords on major search engines. If you are really the curious type and don’t want to risk quality, then you can vary your keywords. Remember that it has to be phrases to make sure that the search engine will give you desirable results.

If you want to have more learning materials from one website, you can try searching for French language study programs or software bundles. Similar to free items, they have all the French grammar information that you need. What’s great with these language programs though which couldn’t be found on free materials is that they have additional learning software like pronunciation guide, vocabulary enhancement and other additional ebooks related to learning and speaking French. If you’re really good in researching by using search engine keywords, you’ll find great and affordable French language programs.

Learning French seems impossible to some people, but we're to break that myth. Learning French isn't hard - today we show you how to become fluent quickly and have fun at the same time.

Learning French seems impossible to some people, but we’re to break that myth. Learning French isn’t hard – today we show you how to become fluent quickly and have fun at the same time.

No doubt learning French can be more difficult as an adult, when compared to a child or a high school student. This is largely because as you grow up your means of learning undergo a distinct change. If a grown up is learning a language he or she will learn it by comparing it to the language they already know. A child on the other hand, just takes in whatever he is taught and as and when he is taught.

As an adult you will want to know and understand the logic and reasoning behind each and every utterance. You would want to know why something is said the way it is said. And being in a traditional classroom language-learning mode might be frustrating to say the least. As we grow in age, our abilities to pick up a new language become weakened, than say compared to when we were in school.

But this does not mean that as an adult you can’t learn the French language. The French language is fluid and exciting and you can pick it up easily, no matter how old you are. You just need to find a course which suits your specific needs and can be worked into your daily schedule. In recent years great and significant developments have been made in the area of language education.

All you need to do is to keep certain things in mind, which can make your French learning experience enjoyable and fun.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Practice as much as you can: If you want to learn to speak French fluently, you need to practice it as often as possible. One thing you can do is put up notices in your work place or in your locality to find people who would be interested in practicing French with you. Or you can join Alliance Franoise. You can join classes with a friend, and you can practice both inside and outside class.

Listen!

One useful way to learn French is passively listening to it. Even though you might not be able to comprehend all that you listen to will still get familiar with pronunciation and usage of words. You can also listen to French music tapes while commuting from one place to another. To keep you occupied and entertained while also helping you learn.

Varying Your Practice

Work out a schedule for the whole week. Do different things everyday. With monotony, you might get bored quickly and loose interest in Learning French.

Do it everyday

If you are seeking to become fluent in French language you have to practice it everyday. You might or might not have the best method but you will learn quickly if you practice the daily.

Take help from the Internet

There is a possibility that you might not be able to find regular classes that can be fitted into your work schedule or something similar. But if you are still determined about learning the language you can use help of the Internet. There are a lot of good courses online that you can make use of. Look around, find something that suits your purpose and practice daily. You will see that you start speaking French, fluently, soon.

Paris, France is on many people’s short-list of places they want to see in their lifetime. This fall, I get my chance and will travel to Paris. I’m fully aware of the French infamous reputation for their treatment of tourists (especially Americans) so I thought I would learn a few French phrases before my upcoming trip to the world famous city of lights.

I was amazed how enthralled I got in learning French and I’ve discovered the French language to be fascinating and rich in history.

A little history of the French Language

The French language is a Romance language like Spanish and Italian which came from the old Gallo-Romance dialects. The language is a direct descendant of the Latin language spoke during the times of the mighty Roman Empire. The roots of modern French can be tracked to Northern France. And although the early language dates to the time of Julius Ceaser-today’s French language can be tracked to the 1300′s. Where it begins to take hold and spread throughout the world.

Over 350 million people around the world speak French as their first or second language. It’s the official language of 30 countries but large population groups in over 50 countries all over the world speak French.

French learning style

I found the best style for learning French was a course that was interactive, that I could learn online, was not boring, and that actually worked. My end-goal is to speak conversational French not to be a French language scholar.

A lot of the courses are stuffy and just plain hard to handle. When this occurs you will not learn the language. No matter what language you’re trying to learn.

I have found Rocket French the best online French learning course of all the many courses and software products out there. It met and exceeded my requirements mentioned above (online, interactive, fun-not boring, and it works!).

In order to get in the right mind set you must relax, have an open mind, and most importantly have fun! If you’re not having fun it will be hard to really learn French (this applies to any language).

I have found learning French to be challenging but fun and I now intend to continue being a student of the French language long after I return home form Paris.

It’s easy to learn French in your car! There are numerous French modern language courses on offer at the moment that are available in CD or MP3 formats. Learning French has never been easier and new technologies have now made it possible for you to learn on the go. Ready? Then lets go. Check out my advice below on how to learn French in you car…

Learn French in your car 1 -

The first thing you need to do is find the right course for you. There are many courses available which vary in style and difficulty level. If you are a beginner or know a little French then you should start with a beginners course, you don’t want to try to run before you can walk! There are so many products available, so make sure you shop around. Read as much information on the product as possible so you can make an informed choice when choosing your course.

Learn French in your car 2 -

Listen! I know it sounds obvious, but it works. Really listen to the accent, the pronunciation and the word emphasis. When repeating words or sentences pay close attention to your own pronunciation, try to imitate the speakers as accurately as possible. The best thing about learning with CDs or MP3s is that you can listen to the same thing over and over again. Remember practice makes perfect.

Learn French in your car 3 -

Many people feel embarrassed when learning a new language, especially when they attempt to speak in a French accent. Remember, you are in the privacy of your own car. No one can hear you. How many times have you been stuck in a traffic jam singing along to the radio? Hundreds if not thousands. It’s no different. The more you repeat, the more you will learn. There’s no need to be shy.

Learn French in your car 4 -

Structured learning often proves to be the most effective way to learn any new skill. So, make sure you keep it regular. Set aside some time everyday (if possible) or every week that is dedicated French learning time. Break your learning up into short sessions as these will be most effective. If you listen to your CDs for hours on end, it is unlikely that you will remember all that information.

You see… I told you it was easy to learn French in your car. Learning another language can open your world to brand new opportunities and exciting experiences. If you would like some more information on the CD and MP3 courses that are currently available, check out the links below.

Learn to speak French and avoid developing Alzheimer's! Find out why this is so.

Are you aware that studying French helps stop Alzheimer’s disease? For those of you who do not, now is the time to consider this relationship.

Alzheimer’s disease is caused by brain atrophy, or when the brain is no longer cognitively stimulated. Such a degeneration normally happens among the elderly, from 65 years old onwards. Confusion, mood swings, and, of course, loss of short-term memory are the most common symptoms.

The Brain’s Complex Processes and How Studying French Can Stimulate It

To learn to speak French or any foreign language will encourage your brain to conduct complicated processes. Memory is refined considerably with the brain’s constant usage.

This benefit of studying how to speak French must be enough motivation to look into online courses.

Learning French Through Auditory Ways

It’s a known fact that it’s hard to learn second languages as you get older. This can be overcome with ease, however, with the assistance of tried-and-tested techniques. To teach French to adult learners, these special methods are used by most French learning classes.

Research shows that applying materials with auditory input results in more success for adult learners learning a second language. This shows that listening to audio lessons results in a dramatic decrease in learning hardships, regardless of age. Furthermore, interactive audio exercises are provided to you in learning packages. You are forced to speak French, so this kind of learning is very efficient. If you practice sufficiently to produce the syllables and sounds of the French language, you’ll be more successful at studying it.

Round-the-clock support is also provided by online learn French classes. Your queries are right away answered by a virtual French teacher. You can even ask your inquiries in French for more practice.

You’re Nothing Without Your Brain

Your thoughts, emotions, and actions come from your brain. You can do nothing without it. It is your responsibility to stimulate your brain and keep it healthy as it constantly evolves.

Learning French in France is a great thing to do and I wouldn’t want to put you off it for a second. There is perhaps no better way to improve your French than to be surrounded by the language and the sights and sounds of French life. Paris, for example, is a beautiful city and you can imagine the joys of a French lesson followed by a walk along the Rive Gauche of the Seine, stopping at a riverside caf for a coffee or a glass of something and just watching the people go by – to my mind it’s a marvellous way to pass an hour or two. What about Nice or Cannes? Places rightly renowned for their style and glamour. “Immersion Learning” is one of the current buzz-words when learning French so what better way to immerse yourself than to go to France?

If that’s the case, you might ask, why on earth would I suggest that learning French in France might not be the best way?

Well if you’ve got deep pockets then I’d thoroughly recommend it. As I said there’s probably no better way to improve your French. But the important word there is “improve”. If you haven’t got deep pockets and you’re just starting with learning French, I’d have to say there are not only much cheaper ways to learn but ones which, given your situation, are actually better for you, easier and will help you learn French faster.

The drawback with learning French in France if you’re just starting out is the pressure you’re almost certainly going to put on yourself. Many of us learn French long after we’ve left school, and we’re not all together comfortable with going back into the classroom situation. OK, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals and it’s going to be a bit different to when you were fifteen, but it’s still a classroom. On top of that, you will have travelled a long way and paid a considerable amount of money to be amongst four, six or eight people you probably haven’t met before and who almost certainly all have different levels of French language skills. It can therefore be quite difficult for the teacher to give you adequate attention and you won’t be able to get the best out of it. The result is that you might well feel dissatisfied with your progress, you’ll put more pressure on yourself and end up trying to study outside of class time when you should be enjoying the many pleasures and beauties of France!

Now if you’re thinking of going to France on vacation, don’t let me put you off in the least. You’ll get on better if you can speak a few words of French, but if you’re in one of the larger towns or cities you can probably get by just fine with English. Go, you’ll have a great time!

But if you’re thinking of learning French in France – and I mean going there specifically to study the French language – I’ll offer a small piece of advice if I may, as someone who’s been there and done it. Before you invest a thousand dollars there, invest a few dollars – and I mean less than $100 – in a good home study course which gives you computer-based exercises, interactive games, written texts and MP3s that you can listen to at your PC or copy to a player to carry around with you.

Do that first, get a bit of a grasp of the basics, then go to France. Trust me, you’ll be so much better prepared and you’ll enjoy the whole experience so much more. As I said at the start, learning French in France is a great thing to do – a little work before you go can make it the trip of a lifetime.

STUDY! Every day. If you want to know the language, and be fluent in it, you must practice it every single day!

One of the biggest difficulties in learning French is how
French verbs work. Here are some fundamental basics of
understanding French verbs and how they work!
You must know what a verb is and its present tense. The
infinitive of To have is avoir. Of course, if you do not
know how to conjugate it, you will have an uphill battle. You
must learn the basic conjugations for the major verb endings:
-er, -ir and re. Learn the past tense, future tense and subjunctive conjugations
of each new verb you are learning.

Speak in French. Again, this sounds obvious, but when you are
speaking to someone fluent in a language, you learn more!
If at all possible, try to enter a French immersion program. In
countries such as Canada, you are considered fluent after three
years in the program! Another (obvious) tip: Pay attention during class. Yes, it can
be boring, but if you truly want to learn the language, listen,
think and ask questions!

Buy the very best French/English dictionary that you can
afford. Read in French. This may sound simple, but it is
amazing how quickly you will learn words and phrases through
the context of reading. Seeing the words and rules you are
studying in practical application always helps!

Practice with someone! Whether it is a pen pal, or an online
community, you will find that writing the language and reading
their responses will help you learn more, faster!

STUDY! Every day. If you want to know the language, and be
fluent in it, you must practice it every single day!
Think in French. While you are at the grocery store, or mall,
or looking through your closet for your favorite trousers! Name
everything you see and do in French.

Learning French is a full time commitment. If you goof off
and only half heartedly try to learn, you will never be fluent.
Take it seriously. This does not mean you cannot have fun, but it
does mean that you need to practice and learn something new
everyday!

Keep a positive attitude! 175 million people in the world speak
French. That means, it is not impossible to learn! Some lessons
are harder than others, that is to be expected. Do not let one
or two difficult lessons detour you from learning the language!
Find an online translator where you can translate phrases you
use daily, then incorporate them in your life! Be careful,
though! Always check your translations with your dictionary and
teacher, because they can often be quite wrong!

The fact that learning French is going to get you through hardships and obstacles is just natural. Cope with these pressures and you'll come out a fine French speaker.

As far as studying French and using French learning materials is concerned, speaking French literally with French natives does not necessarily qualify or disqualify a person according to how and where they have learned the language.

It’s like this, when you are a wide reader and have read hundreds of books in your entire lifetime including the fact you have learned French along the way, does it make you a very good French speaker? What about the person who have spent all his life living, breathing and speaking the French language, would he be considered an extremely effective French speaker? And let’s not forget an avid fan of the French language, studying the French language in college, in a reputable university.

What’s so ironic about the three types of people stated above is that, regardless of the learning style they have gone through and used in learning the French language, there is still no guarantee that each of them is better than the other. This doesn’t necessarily mean as well that a French speaker knows everything there is about their language.

It’s similar to the case of English speakers. The native English speakers to be specific, still have problems and experience confusion in terms of using the correct English word for a statement, writing or even just in a conversation. Don’t think that this doesn’t happen among French speakers.

What is the point in all this? This means to say that a person who experiences difficulty in learning French or any other languages, will experience the same difficulty that any native speaker of his language goes through. The key here is just to be purely calm about making progress. Remember as well that the need to learn French in the shortest time possible is very unlikely. Even experts who have acquired to speak the French language do not deny the fact learning and speaking French isn’t going to happen in 3, 6 or 9 months. The learning experience of studying and speaking a language of a person changes and becomes more interesting everyday. And there is always something you have to look forward to because it helps in the way you deal with your French lessons, no matter how difficult it may seem.
