Cooking Short Cuts From a Pro – This French Toast Never Gets Flipped & Never Burns
Much as I love to be in the kitchen, when the weather gets warm I’d much rather be outdoors, but even when it’s warm and sunny I crave old-fashioned comfort food. Frozen French toast just doesn’t do it for me and that breakfast cereal that imitates little Barbie-sized French toast is adorable but that just doesn’t do it for me either. When it comes to comfort food, you just gotta have the real thing, otherwise you’ll just keep eating and eating until you find it. These days, it’s getting pretty hard to find it, unless you make it yourself.
The problem with French toast of course is that if you want to feed a family you’re going to be standing at the stove for a half an hour, unless you’ve got one of those nice big griddles that holds 8 slices at a time. But there is an alternative!
The best French toast I’ve ever had gets baked in the oven! How sweet is that? No flipping, no burning…and sweet? The maple syrup and brown sugar are baked right in! It gets even better—this recipe gets made the day before so you can just chill on your morning off!
Another amazing time saver in the morning—frittatas, like Italian quiche, only without the crust. You simply mix eggs with cheese and veggies, some bacon if you like, and you bake it. Add a little side salad and you can enjoy the leftovers for lunch later. Frittatas can be enjoyed at room temperature too.
When people actually cooked at home a lot more than they do today, they didn’t have 100’s of exotic recipes that used 3 tablespoons of some crazy condiment kids won’t eat anyway. Recipes like fritttatas and French toast were designed for practicality—they’re highly economical because they use things up…old bread, roasted asparagus, cheese.
Oddly enough this highly economical, practical food was comforting to more than your bank account. The flavor of high quality ingredients like eggs from the farmers market and real butter satisfies more than our taste buds. Our brains can distinguish real sugar from something synthetic. If we don’t get it, we’ll keep trying. That’s one of the reasons for over eating. Real cinnamon has a positive effect on blood sugar levels. Natural flavoring only satisfies someone’s bottom line.
Food designed for profit just doesn’t have what it takes to truly give you what you came to the table for. Home cooking doesn’t have to be complicated or time consuming when you learn the basics. You’ll eat less if you eat higher quality because real food doesn’t just please our taste buds, it deeply nourishes our souls.

How to Speak French – Tips to Speak French Faster From a French Native Speaker!
Do you want to learn how to speak French like a real native?
Many of my friends from the US learned the French language in their early age, but most of them can’t speak properly because they forgot almost everything. As you probably guessed, the key is to practice and speak regularly.
In this article, I am going you introduce you to my proven method to speak French faster. This works for any language by the way, I used my method to learn English, Spanish and Arabic in no time flat.
1. Don’t do what every over people do
You need to realize that you are unique and that you have to decide yourself how you will learn. This is the most important step.
You also need to know that there are several learning types. You need to find out what is the best way to learn for you. As an example, last week. I was talking with one of my old friends who is trying to learn a new language, and he told me that he can’t learn without images. He noticed that whenever he learned a new word, he would memorize it faster when he can see a picture.
Others prefer to listen and memorize.
Please don’t overlook this step because it will save you a lot of your precious time.
2. Complete Immersion
When I say immersion, I am not trying to sell you a ticket to go to Paris. I am just telling that you need to surround yourself with French speakers. If you can find native speakers or travel, it’s better, but it’s not required.
Do you know someone who is learning French in your town? If not, you can find someone on the Internet and speak with him on a daily basis. You can even use skype or hotmail.
Talking to someone else is one of the most powerful way to learn another language because it will force you to search the words you don’t know.

Why I’m Learning French Online
Paris, France is on many people’s short-list of places they want to see in their lifetime. This fall, I get my chance and will travel to Paris. I’m fully aware of the French infamous reputation for their treatment of tourists (especially Americans) so I thought I would learn a few French phrases before my upcoming trip to the world famous city of lights.
I was amazed how enthralled I got in learning French and I’ve discovered the French language to be fascinating and rich in history.
A little history of the French Language
The French language is a Romance language like Spanish and Italian which came from the old Gallo-Romance dialects. The language is a direct descendant of the Latin language spoke during the times of the mighty Roman Empire. The roots of modern French can be tracked to Northern France. And although the early language dates to the time of Julius Ceaser-today’s French language can be tracked to the 1300’s. Where it begins to take hold and spread throughout the world.
Over 350 million people around the world speak French as their first or second language. It’s the official language of 30 countries but large population groups in over 50 countries all over the world speak French.
French learning style
I found the best style for learning French was a course that was interactive, that I could learn online, was not boring, and that actually worked. My end-goal is to speak conversational French not to be a French language scholar.
A lot of the courses are stuffy and just plain hard to handle. When this occurs you will not learn the language. No matter what language you’re trying to learn.
I have found Rocket French the best online French learning course of all the many courses and software products out there. It met and exceeded my requirements mentioned above (online, interactive, fun-not boring, and it works!).
In order to get in the right mind set you must relax, have an open mind, and most importantly have fun! If you’re not having fun it will be hard to really learn French (this applies to any language).
I have found learning French to be challenging but fun and I now intend to continue being a student of the French language long after I return home form Paris.
