When you know how to speak French, you will have many advantages over lesser mortals. The French language is one of the world’s foremost languages, and is spoken by about 300 million people globally, it is a primary or secondary language is some 35 countries. This will certainly be a great advantage for you if you travel, whether for business or pleasure to any French speaking nation.

I assume that as you are reading this you have some interest in learning to speak the French language, and perhaps have some degree of indecision. Consider, a simple task such as discussing the repair of a car with a French speaking mechanic, when he speaks no English and you speak no French, on the other hand, if you speak French, it is a different matter!

Now on the subject of actually learning how to speak French, it should be noted that there are several methods of tuition, which can be used. The best method may be to go and live in France or another French speaking country for some time, and possible attending a suitable course while there. Unfortunately the above is impractical for the majority of us, the best method in practice is to use an interactive course with full multimedia presentation. These are often available as an Internet download, and have various sections. The type of course I am referring to is both audio and visual, you will hear and see a French speaker speaking, and be able to repeat the words after him. In addition they are downloadable printable sections, workbooks and various software sections. The idea of this approach is to use the various techniques to make learning French not only as easy as possible, but also to make it enjoyable, stimulating and interesting.
