Gift giving can be torture for me. Each of us has that person on our gift list who is absolutely impossible to buy for. I had just such a person. A girlfriend of years. I never saw any gift I gave her in her home over the 20+ years I knew her. Maybe she just thought I had terrible taste. Now to honest, no one wants to learn such a lively language from a textbook or dictionary unless you’re prepared to fail right? And a text book will not produce results fast, in other words you won’t learn to speak French fast actually you would be lucky to learn it at all! Persistence
No, honestly you need persistence or I guarantee you won’t get that far. Learning another language is difficult trust me I’ve been there done that. However if you have persistence in learning French then I assure you that it will get easier and easier over the weeks and then before you know it your fluent!

Get support
The more support you have the more you will succeed, I don’t think I would of ever been able to learn to speak fluent French if it wasn’t for my friends supporting me. I would have friends talking to me in French and even type to me on msn messenger! Of course it took me forever to reply but I got there and so will you!
From experience I will tell you now, you need a program if you do not plan to go to French school or are too busy. Programs are usually available online, there are free ones but they won’t help you out as much as a paid one. Plus you will have to looking through many websites for phrases and how to speak it properly.

Recap and Review
In order to retain ANY information you need to recap and review (I’m sure your familiar with this) everyday. You have to focus on your pronunciation and accent everyday in order to get it right. Honestly if you think about it, reviewing doesn’t take that long, usually 20 minutes a day. Are you that busy?

So there are 3 simple tips to help you out with your journey to learn to speak fluent French. Persistence (this will get you very far!), get support by getting your friends involved or join a online program and make sure you recap and review by speaking it everyday.
